The Lohkampsiedlung in Eidelstedt was named Germany’s prettiest small housing estate several times. The estate has beautiful gabled, semi-detached houses with gardens, tucked away on small side streets. Drainage ditches crisscross the area like small picturesque canals. Young families in particular appreciate the modern, low-rise apartments found in the natural area between Kieler Straße and Feldmark, another natural recreation area. The various high-rise estates such as the one near the Hörgensweg AKN train station stand in contrast to the other types of housing.

  • borders on Schleswig-Holstein, an easy distance from many daytrip destinations
  • not far from the forest area Klövensteen, nice for hiking and pony rides

Shopping, leisure

Eidelstedter Platz is the district’s center and where you will find various shops, restaurants, a small shopping center, and a farmer’s market which takes place three times a week.

The Sola-Bona-Park and the Feldmark offer space to go jogging or walking. Pastures, fields and shrubs create a rural idyll, far from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Zip into the city or onto the highway

Eidelstedt is well connected to the public transport network with various S-Bahn and AKN stations. Taking the S21 line will get you downtown in about 15 minutes. The A7, which branches off to the A23 and B4, also runs through the district, so getting around by car is a cinch.
