Register and get the furnished apartment you need
Once you have registered with us online, we will contact you so we can get you set up in your temporary home as soon as possible. With this registration you do not obligate yourself to rent a furnished apartment through City-Wohnen, and you pay no fees for our service.

View the apartments or book directly
Many furnished apartments can be booked right away without visiting them. This is very convenient if you are not in Hamburg. We simply get the OK from the landlord and take care of everything else. If you would like to view a furnished apartment before renting, just let us know! Either someone from City-Wohnen or the landlord will make an appointment with you.
Minimum Rental Period
The minimum rental period is generally two to three months. Shorter periods are occasionally possible, but this remains the exception.
How quickly can I find an interim apartment?
That really depends on you. Are you decisive? Do you want to book right away or view places before committing? For example, if you send us your registration in the morning, you might already have your lease agreement in the evening! You just need to decide on a temporary furnished apartment and get the owner’s OK. If you would you like to view apartments, it may take some time before the appointments take place.
All rents stated in the descriptions are generally all-inclusive rents. This means that all additional costs such as water, electricity and heating are already included and will not be billed later. If there are exceptions, they are listed in exposé or will be discussed with you before signing the lease agreement. There are no additional costs from City-Wohnen for you.
Agencies – with real people!
We are not an internet portal. City-Wohnen Berlin and City-Wohnen Hamburg are agencies that have specialized in interim housing in Berlin and Hamburg for decades. Our teams are always available for questions, requests and taking care of every step of your rental so that you can move into your temporary home as quickly and easily as possible.
Once you have chosen your new home away from home, you’ll need a lease agreement. A simple confirmation such as used in holiday rentals is not enough under German law. The lease is concluded between the tenant and landlord and is generally drawn up by City-Wohnen.
Handover of the apartment
Once the lease has been signed and you have paid the first month's rent and the deposit, the handover of the apartment can take place. The handover is done either directly with the owner or with someone from City-Wohnen. You will receive the keys and both parties check the condition of the apartment once more. When moving out, the apartment should be returned in the same condition.
During the rental period, you are automatically covered by liability insurance through City-Wohnen. This is a liability insurance policy for rented items. We offer this service because rented items are often excluded in personal liability insurance policies. The insurance runs for a maximum of 1 year, an extension of this insurance can be purchased inexpensively through City-Wohnen.
Can I cancel the lease agreement on my furnished apartment before moving in?
No. Once the lease has been signed, it is binding for the landlord and the tenant. All conditions are stated in the lease.
Can I give notice on the lease for my temporary home?
That depends on whether a period of notice is a condition of your lease.
Move in and make yourself at home
When all the formalities are taken care of, you can move into your furnished apartment and feel comfortable in your new home away from home! Your landlord relies on you to take care of the apartment as if it were your own. Just remember, when you move out, everything should be as you it was when you moved in!
